Departures beyond that time may incur an additional night.
Dining At Cibolo Creek Ranch
Dining at Cibolo is designed as a shared experience—bringing guests together over thoughtfully prepared meals in a relaxed, communal setting.
Breakfast
Served from 7:30 – 10:30 AM
A combination of continental offerings and à la carte selections allows you to begin your day at your own pace.
Lunch
Served at 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM
A two-course menu, $40 per person, plus service charge and tax.
Cocktail Hour
Begins at 6:00 PM
Enjoy complimentary appetizers alongside a full-service bar as the day transitions into evening.
Dinner
Served at 7:30 PM
A three-course dining experience, $95 per person, plus service charge and tax.
Guests are welcome to arrive up to one hour after service begins. If your plans change, our team is happy to accommodate take-away options when possible.
Dining Reservations
As each meal is thoughtfully prepared for our guests, reservations are required.
Lunch reservations should be made by the end of breakfast on the same day, and dinner reservations by the end of lunch. Once confirmed, reservations are non-refundable.
The Cibolo Experience
Cibolo Creek Ranch offers a range of guided experiences designed to connect you with the land, its history, and the surrounding landscape of Far West Texas.
From horseback riding and shooting to exploring the vast desert terrain, each activity is led by knowledgeable guides who bring the ranch to life in meaningful and memorable ways.
Activities are available by reservation and require a 24-hour cancellation notice.
In-Room Amenities & Comforts
Your accommodations have been thoughtfully prepared to reflect both comfort and the historic character of the ranch.
Guest rooms do not require traditional keys and can be secured from the inside. Keys are available upon request through the Front Office.
In-room safes are available for $10 per night. Rollaway beds are available for $50 per night.
Additional amenities, including curated snacks and beverages, are available in-room for your enjoyment.
A Living Piece of Texas History
Cibolo Creek Ranch traces its origins to 1857, when Milton Faver—widely recognized as the first Anglo rancher in the Big Bend region—established his homestead in this remote frontier landscape.
Positioned along key routes between Presidio and Fort Davis, Cibolo Fort served as both a defensive outpost and the center of early ranching operations in a region defined by distance, resilience, and self-reliance.
Over time, the surrounding lands supported ranching life and nearby communities, including the mining town of Shafter. Though the original structures weathered decades of isolation, the spirit of the ranch endured.
Beginning in 1990, John B. Poindexter undertook a careful and extensive restoration of the property. With a deep respect for its history, the ranch was preserved not as a relic, but as a living place—where guests can experience the landscape, the quiet, and the enduring character of the American West.
Today, Cibolo Creek Ranch remains both a historic landmark and a place of genuine hospitality, where the past and present meet in a setting unlike any other.
